The following changes are a must for all client applications connecting to Aura instances. One applies specifically to Aura Virtual Dedicated Cloud (VDC) and Business Critical (BC): 

 

• Apply Drivers best practices  - Best to upgrade to the latest v5.x drivers which are backward compatible to Neo4j v4.

  • Mark queries as Read queries as part of driver implementation, to leverage 3-node Aura cluster. (Aura VDC and BC)

• Use query parameters

• Use Transaction Functions for Retries

• Configuring Driver Connection to Aura Instance: Setting the Database Name as "neo4j"
